• Majority of Projects in Metro west, or south of Boston

Description

• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for commercial construction projects
• Review drawings, specifications, and project documents to assess scope and requirements
• Solicit and evaluate bids from subcontractors and vendors
• Collaborate with the preconstruction and project management teams to develop bid strategies
• Perform quantity take-offs and cost analysis using estimating software
• Participate in value engineering and cost-saving proposals
• Maintain relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and industry partners
• Track historical cost data to inform future estimates and improve accuracy
• Assist in preparing bid packages and presenting estimates to clients or executive

Profile

• 3-5 years of estimating experience at a general contractor
• Ideally experience with multifamily, medical facilities & general commercial projects
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Strong communication & interpersonal skills
• Experience with Excel, Planswift, Procore, On Screen, and/or Bluebeam
