They are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager for a large-scale student housing project in State College, PA.

Description

The Project Manager - Student Housing - State College, PA will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing all phases of the construction project from pre-construction through closeout
  • Managing project schedules, budgets, and deliverables to ensure on-time and on-budget completion
  • Coordinating with architects, engineers, and consultants during design and planning phases
  • Leading subcontractor selection, negotiation, and performance managementConducting regular site visits to monitor progress, safety compliance, and quality standards
  • Facilitating communication between ownership, general contractors, and internal stakeholdersIdentifying and resolving construction issues, conflicts, and change orders promptly
  • Ensuring adherence to local building codes, zoning regulations, and university requirements
  • Preparing and presenting progress reports, forecasts, and updates to senior leadership
  • Driving project team alignment and accountability through regular meetings and updates
  • Maintaining project documentation, including contracts, RFIs, submittals, and daily logs
  • Managing risk by anticipating potential delays or issues and developing mitigation strategies
  • Supporting occupancy planning and turnover to ensure timely and seamless student move-ins

Profile

The Project Manager - Student Housing - State College, PA will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field
  • 5-10 years of experience managing multifamily or student housing construction projects
  • Proven track record of delivering large-scale, ground-up developments on time and within budget
  • Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, scheduling, and project cost controls
  • Familiarity with student housing standards, ADA compliance, and institutional requirements
  • Proficiency in project management software such as Procore, MS Project, or Primavera
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and drive team performance under tight deadlines
  • Strong understanding of contract negotiation, risk management, and permitting processes
  • OSHA 30 certification or equivalent safety training
  • Willingness to travel or relocate as required by project location
