Preconstruction Manager

This role is for a Preconstruction Manager responsible for leading all preconstruction efforts, from conceptual estimating to GMP delivery, on large and complex commercial projects. The position offers relocation support and strong career growth within an established, reputable general contractor.

Description

• Lead preconstruction phases including budgeting, conceptual estimating, scheduling, value engineering, and risk analysis.
• Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and trade partners to align scope, cost, and schedules.
• Mentor junior estimators and coordinate closely with operations to ensure smooth project transition.
• Prepare accurate GMP budgets and support business development efforts.

Profile

• 8+ years of estimating/preconstruction experience with a reputable GC (not purely multifamily).
• Strong project portfolio in commercial, institutional, industrial, aviation, or healthcare.
• Proven tenure and loyalty in previous roles, showing long-term commitment.
• Skilled in conceptual estimating, GMP delivery, and preconstruction software.
• Professional, client-facing communicator and collaborative leader.
