Assistant Superintendent - New Jersey Multifamily

We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Assistant Superintendent to support the successful delivery of multifamily residential construction projects across Central and South New Jersey. This role is ideal for a rising construction professional ready to play a key part in field operations, subcontractor coordination, and on-site quality control.

Description

• Assist the Superintendent with daily on-site supervision of all trades and subcontractors
• Ensure projects stay on schedule, meet quality standards, and remain compliant with local codes
• Coordinate inspections, deliveries, and materials in collaboration with project managers and vendors
• Monitor job site safety and enforce company and OSHA safety standards
• Maintain accurate daily reports, site photos, and project documentation
• Troubleshoot and resolve field issues quickly and efficiently
• Help manage punch lists and project closeout activities

Profile

• 5+ years of experience in multifamily construction, ideally in an Assistant Superintendent or Field Engineer role
• Strong working knowledge of construction means and methods, scheduling, and safety procedures
• Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to manage subcontractors and labor teams
• Proficiency with project management tools and field reporting software
• OSHA 30 certification (preferred)
• Ability to travel to and work at project sites throughout Central and South New Jersey
