Battery Engineer
You will be responsible for design, development, and testing of both new and existing battery systems.

Our Client is a specialized provider of high‑reliability power systems for aerospace and beyond.
Description
- Collaborate across teams: Work closely with Mechanical Engineers to ensure proper packaging and seamless integration of cells.
- Design for performance: Participate in developing advanced cell and battery architectures that comply with rigorous aerospace standards.
- Model and optimize: Conduct modeling and parameter analysis to refine and improve cell and battery designs.
- Validate performance: Assist in creating and executing test plans to characterize and confirm performance at both cell and battery levels.
- Investigate issues: Analyze returned battery units, determine root causes of failures, and contribute to corrective action strategies.
- Enhance reliability: Support ongoing engineering efforts aimed at improving the durability and efficiency of existing battery products.
- Document findings: Prepare detailed technical reports to share test results and performance data with internal stakeholders and external customers.
- Support commercial efforts: Provide technical information to Sales and Marketing teams to effectively position products in the marketplace.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Materials Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in battery design, development, and testing (preferably in an OEM or aerospace setting).
- Working knowledge of battery cell fundamentals, including impedance, testing methods, and Liion failure modes.
- Familiarity with battery test equipment and data analysis practices.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Effective communicator with the ability to document and explain technical work clearly.
- Working knowledge of MATLAB and SolidWorks (preferred).
- Understanding of FAA regulations and aerospace qualification processes (a plus).
- Detail-oriented with a collaborative, hands-on approach to engineering challenge
