The Project Manager - Design Build Construction oversees construction projects from pre-construction to closeout, ensuring quality, safety, and budget compliance. They maximize project profits, build strong client and subcontractor relationships, and drive new business opportunities in Los Angeles.

A well-established commercial contractor based in Orange County, specializing in tenant improvements, interior renovations, and design-build projects. They serve building and construction sectors like corporate offices, health care, education, and industrial facilities. With a mid-sized team and annual revenue in the tens of millions, they have a strong track record of repeat clients and timely project delivery.
Description
Key responsibilities for a Project Manager - Design Build Construction include:
Take full ownership of building and construction projects from pre-construction to closeout, ensuring quality, schedule, and budget goals are met or exceeded.
Manage estimating, bidding, value engineering, and scheduling in collaboration with Superintendents.
Maintain clear communication with clients and project teams regarding schedule changes and progress.
Oversee subcontractor selection, scope control, and timely payment processing with Accounting.
Handle change order management and client communication.
Lead project kick-offs and enforce safety standards on-site.
Track Los Angeles project financials and overall progress.
Prepare preliminary pricing estimates and manage bidding processes.
Host OAC meetings and coordinate with subcontractors and vendors.
Train, develop, and conduct performance reviews for support staff.
Profile
An ideal candidate for the Project Manager - Design Build Construction position will have:
5 to 10 years of progressive experience in Project Management, preferably in Los Angeles
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field.
CPR and First Aid certified.
OSHA 10 certification required.
Solid understanding of building and construction law and safety regulations.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Project.
Experienced in project scheduling and critical path analysis.
Excellent communication and team leadership abilities.
Strong financial skills with the ability to manage project budgets effectively.
