An established, nationally recognized construction contractor is seeking a Project Manager to join its federal division. This is a key leadership role overseeing complex, multi‑million‑dollar federal projects while driving client satisfaction, financial performance, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
As the Project Manager, you will report into senior leadership and take full ownership of project delivery from preconstruction through closeout. You will:
- Lead multiple federal construction projects, ensuring alignment with client objectives, budget, and schedule
- Build strong relationships with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors
- Oversee preconstruction activities including scope development, estimates, risk assessments, schedules, and value engineering
- Manage all construction phase operations including subcontractor buyout, contracting, RFIs, change orders, forecasting, and monthly reporting
- Take full responsibility for project financials, including WIP reporting, cash flow, payment applications, and profit optimization
- Chair OAC meetings, ensure documentation accuracy, and drive timely closeout and final payment
- Provide leadership, direction, and development to Assistant Project Managers
Profile
The Successful Applicant
For the Project Manager position, we are seeking:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 5+ years' experience as a Project Manager in commercial or federal construction
- Experience delivering $30M+ projects; prior exposure to U.S. Army Corps of Engineers projects is highly preferred
- Proficiency with MS Office, Procore, and construction scheduling software (Primavera P6 preferred)
- Strong financial acumen, negotiation abilities, and risk management skills
- Proven ability to lead teams and maintain strong client and subcontractor relationships
- Ability to meet strict federal compliance requirements including background checks and drug screening
