The Program Director for Affordable Housing is a critical role responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of affordable housing programs. This position ensures the efficient operation of the organization's property department, leading the team in achieving its objectives.

Description

  • Lead the development and implementation of the affordable housing program
  • Drive the strategic planning process for the property department
  • Oversee the management of the department's budget and resources
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop team members
  • Foster relationships with key stakeholders and community partners
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
  • Monitor and evaluate program performance and effectiveness
  • Advocate for affordable housing policies at local, state, and federal levels

Profile

A successful Program Director, Affordable Housing should have:

  • An advanced degree in a relevant field
  • A proven track record in the development and implementation of affordable housing programs
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent strategic planning and project management abilities
  • In-depth understanding of laws and regulations related to affordable housing
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience in property and asset management as well as underwriting would be ideal
