MEP Superintendent

We are seeking an experienced MEP Superintendent with Mechanical & Electrical experise to lead, direct, and coordinate subcontractors and trade labor for all mechanical and electrical components of large-scale construction projects. This role is critical to ensuring safety, schedule adherence, quality, and budget compliance.

Description

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of mechanical and electrical systems (HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Low Voltage, Fire Sprinkler).
• Oversee scheduling, delivery, logistics, quality control, and staffing for assigned trades.
• Coordinate work among trades to ensure smooth project operations and resolve field issues.
• Enforce site safety programs and ensure compliance with all applicable codes and regulations.
• Supervise and mentor Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers, and interns.
• Develop and maintain project schedules; implement recovery strategies as needed.
• Communicate with owners and design teams to resolve field issues promptly.
• Manage billing processes, subcontractor payment applications, and work-in-place estimates.
• Ensure installation complies with approved contract documents and specifications.
• Lead inspections, commissioning, turnover, and training processes for all systems.
• Maintain detailed daily records of trade contractor progress.
• Participate in preconstruction efforts, including constructability reviews and logistics planning

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing mechanical and electrical systems on large commercial projects.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple trades.
• Knowledge of safety standards, building codes, and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in scheduling and project management tools.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents and 3D coordination models.
• Commitment to ethics, compliance, and safety at all times.
