Description
The Area Safety Manager will be responsible for:
- Developing and implementing safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Conducting safety audits and inspections across construction sites to identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Providing safety training and guidance to employees and subcontractors to promote a safe working environment.
- Investigating and reporting on incidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Collaborating with project managers and teams to integrate safety best practices into daily operations.
- Maintaining accurate records of safety activities, including training logs, inspection reports, and incident documentation.
- Staying updated on industry safety standards and recommend improvements to current practices.
- Acting as a point of contact for regulatory agencies and ensure adherence to compliance requirements.

Profile
A successful Area Safety Manager should have:
- A strong understanding of safety regulations and standards within the construction industry.
- Proven ability to develop and implement safety policies and programs.
- Experience conducting safety audits, inspections, and training sessions.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to influence safety practices among teams.
- Problem-solving skills to address safety concerns and implement corrective actions effectively.
- Relevant certifications in occupational safety or construction safety management are a plus.
