Senior Manager of Manufacturing - Medical Devices - MA

The Senior Manager of Manufacturing will lead internal manufacturing operations, ensuring new products can be built consistently, safely, and with strong process discipline prior to scale‑up. Sitting at the intersection of engineering and operations, this leader will oversee manufacturing builds, partner with process engineering to develop stable processes, and ensure all documentation and work instructions are in place.

Description

• Lead internal pilot manufacturing operations for development, validation, and early production
* Execute manufacturing builds with clear schedules, readiness, and accountability
* Partner with Process Engineering to develop stable, repeatable processes
* Ensure documentation, work instructions, and build readiness prior to execution
* Support NPI by ensuring smooth transition from engineering to manufacturing
* Collaborate with Quality, Supply Chain, and Engineering to maintain product quality
* Build and lead a team of engineers, operators, and manufacturing leaders
* Provide operational visibility into build performance, risks, and improvement opportunities

Profile

A successful Senior Manager of Manufacturing should have:

• 8-12+ years in manufacturing or operations (medical device preferred)
* Experience leading manufacturing teams in regulated environments
* Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, documentation, and QMS
* Proven cross-functional leadership across engineering, quality, and operations
* Strong operational leadership and problem‑solving skills
Preferred:
* Experience in NPI or pilot manufacturing
* Background in catheter or complex medical device manufacturing
* Familiarity with ISO 13485 or FDA-regulated environments
