Superintendent
Position Summary
The Superintendent is the direct supervisor of construction field crews and is responsible for overseeing all aspects of construction projects. This includes managing equipment, logistics, safety, reporting, and client interactions.Client Details
A construction firm specializing in dredging, deep foundations, and infrastructure. As one of the largest privately-owned construction companies in the U.S., this client is expanding its operations across the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast.
Description
Key Responsibilities- Supervise field crews and ensure project execution aligns with plans and safety standards.
- Manage logistics for crane barges, tugboats, and other marine equipment.
- Assist with cost estimating and project planning.
- Develop hazard analyses and review safe work practices with crews.
- Conduct and document daily safety meetings.
- Perform routine safety inspections and accident investigations.
- Liaise with clients and project stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with environmental and regulatory standards.
Profile
Qualifications- Minimum 10 years of experience in marine or heavy civil construction in a supervisory role.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple crews and complex logistics.
- Familiarity with construction equipment and operations.
- Engineering degree or related discipline preferred.
- OSHA certification and safety training a plus.
Job Offer

Base Salary - $180k
- Salary Reviews Annually

Bonus - Additional bonus is discretionary & based on employee performance and success of the company earnings.

Transportation Alw - $500.00 per month plus applicable tolls and fuel. All expenses to be submitted by you monthly for reimbursement.
- Company issued computer, cell phone allowance of $50/month.

401k - Eligible after the first 3 full months. Employer will match 50% Eligible Employee contribution up to $3,000 per year, eligibility upon employee working a minimum of 1,040 hrs per year.

Insurance - Health Insurance provided. Employee contribution is required. Details will be provided under separate cover. Eligibility after 90 days of employment.

Vacation - Three weeks annually, prorated per year.
- Sick Days 5 sick days annually. prorated per year. You will be reimbursed for these days if they are not used.
