Manufacturing Engineer | Precision Machining
This Manufacturing Engineer role focuses on optimizing CNC lathe operations to improve efficiency and quality within the manufacturing process. The position is based near Deerfield, IL, and offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a forward-thinking composites manufacturer.
Client Details
Our client is a well-established manufacturer of composite materials for a wide variety of industries. Their already impressive CNC manufacturing capabilities are expanding even more due to explosive growth and reinvestment in their facility, and they are looking for a new Process Engineer to join the team to continue their climb to the top!
Description
- Develop and implement process improvements for CNC lathe operations to enhance production efficiency
- Analyze production data to identify areas for optimization and ensure quality standards are met
- Create and maintain documentation for manufacturing processes and procedures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and improve workflow
- Train and mentor production staff on best practices and new technologies
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards in all manufacturing processes
- Support the introduction of new equipment and technologies into the manufacturing environment
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to CNC lathe operations
Profile
- Expertise in CNC lathe operations and manufacturing processes, ideally on Okuma lathes
- Strong MasterCAM programming skillset
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Proficiency in using technical software and tools for process analysis
- Engineering degree preferred but not required
Job Offer
- Base salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, depending on total experience
