Senior Accountant

My client is currently seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. This role will play a key part in the month-end close process and will be responsible for a variety of account reconciliations. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of GAAP standards and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.

Description

• Manage and execute the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes

• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports

• Ensure accuracy and compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal policies

• Assist with the preparation of financial statements and external audits

• Analyze financial data and provide insights to support business decisions

• Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting procedures

• Support budgeting and forecasting activities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including FP&A, operations, and external auditors

• Assist in implementing new systems or process improvements

• Stay current on accounting standards and regulatory requirements

Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or progress toward CPA a plus)

• 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or public accounting environment

• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting standards

• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel

• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Experience with month-end close and account reconciliation processes

• Familiarity with internal controls and audit processes

• Experience in the retail industry a plus (if applicable)
