Senior Accountant
My client is currently seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. This role will play a key part in the month-end close process and will be responsible for a variety of account reconciliations. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of GAAP standards and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.

Description
Manage and execute the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports
Ensure accuracy and compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal policies
Assist with the preparation of financial statements and external audits
Analyze financial data and provide insights to support business decisions
Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting procedures
Support budgeting and forecasting activities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including FP&A, operations, and external auditors
Assist in implementing new systems or process improvements
Stay current on accounting standards and regulatory requirements
Profile
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or progress toward CPA a plus)
3-5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or public accounting environment
Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting standards
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel
Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Experience with month-end close and account reconciliation processes
Familiarity with internal controls and audit processes
Experience in the retail industry a plus (if applicable)
