Plant Accountant

This Senior Plant Accountant role supports plant accounting execution, costing accuracy, and inventory control across manufacturing operations. Reporting to a Regional Controller, the position plays a key role in forecast accuracy, margin integrity, and audit-ready financial processes.

Description

• Support inventory management decisions and manufacturing cost controls
• Own variance analysis across multiple manufacturing sites
• Maintain standard costing and ensure accurate product cost updates
• Oversee inventory reconciliation, cycle counts, and audit documentation
• Analyse plant transactions for compliance with accounting policies
• Support monthly close activities and timely management reporting
• Assist with plant budgeting, forecasting, and cost reduction initiatives
• Partner with operations on BOMs, routings, and transformation projects
• Validate savings tied to productivity, tariff, and process improvement initiatives

Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 3-5 years of plant or manufacturing accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of inventory accounting and journal entries
• Working understanding of standard costing principles
• ERP experience (SAP strongly preferred)
• Detail-oriented with a disciplined approach to close and reconciliation
• Analytical, collaborative, and comfortable partnering with operations
