Construction Superintendent - Manhattan, NY

Client Details

We're seeking a Superintendent to oversee the daily site operations of commercial interior projects ranging from $1M to $20M+. The ideal candidate will have a strong background managing fast-paced tenant improvement and office build-out work in occupied or Class A commercial buildings.

Description

• Lead and coordinate all on-site construction activities to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.

• Manage and supervise subcontractors, field staff, and vendors on a daily basis.

• Maintain compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and company quality standards.

• Collaborate closely with the Project Manager, architect, and client representatives.

• Conduct daily walkthroughs, track progress, and maintain detailed site reports.

• Oversee logistics, deliveries, inspections, and punch list completion.

• Ensure jobsite cleanliness, safety, and professionalism at all times.

Profile

• 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial interior construction.

• Proven track record leading office, retail, or corporate fit-out projects in New York City.

• Strong understanding of construction means and methods, scheduling, and sequencing.

• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and shop drawings.

• OSHA 30 certification required; NYC DOB license or SST card preferred.

• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
