Assistant Project Manager
The Assistant Project Manager role in the property industry, specifically within the construction department, offers an exciting opportunity to support the execution of various gut renovation construction projects including Brownstones to Penthouses. Our client is a reputable General Contractor local to Queens is looking for an Assistant Project Manager. They specialize in Residential Single Family gut renovations across the city. Their projects include guts on Town homes, Brownstones, Penthouses, Apartments, and more. As a mid-sized organization, they provide a collaborative work environment and focus on delivering high-quality construction services with a great team culture.
Description
As an Assistant Project Manager, you will be responsible for the following:
- Assist in planning, coordinating, and supervising construction projects from start to finish.
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure project goals and deadlines are met.
- Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and team members.
- Monitor project budgets and schedules, ensuring efficient resource utilization.
- Prepare and update project documentation, including reports and schedules.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and building regulations.
- Identify and address potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Support the resolution of project issues and challenges as they arise.

Profile
A successful Assistant Project Manager should have:
- Experience or knowledge in the property and construction industry.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Familiarity with project management software and tools.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
- A degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
