This Commercial Operations Manager role offers the opportunity to lead and scale the commercial division of a long‑standing, privately owned concrete contractor. You will oversee field operations, safety, manpower planning, and project execution while partnering closely with senior leadership to drive performance, culture, and profitability.

Description

The Commercial Operations Manager will report into senior leadership and have full operational ownership of the commercial division.
  • Lead and manage superintendents, project managers, and field leadership
  • Forecast manpower needs and align crews to project demands and skill sets
  • Drive safety culture, daily huddles, training, and compliance across jobsites
  • Oversee project execution, productivity tracking, and cost control
  • Partner with preconstruction on estimates, planning, and key pursuits
  • Lead weekly project reviews to ensure financial and operational performance
  • Improve field efficiency, equipment utilization, and overtime management

Profile

For the Commercial Operations Manager role, we are seeking:
  • 10+ years of construction experience, including 5+ years in concrete construction
  • Proven background as a Superintendent, Operations Manager, or similar leadership role
  • Strong field knowledge with the ability to transition into senior operations leadership
  • Experience managing multiple projects, teams, and schedules simultaneously
  • High emotional intelligence with strength in conflict resolution and accountability
  • Working knowledge of construction productivity tracking, safety programs, and logistics
  • Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred

Job Offer

  • Base salary: $125,000+ (flexible for the right candidate)
  • Discretionary annual bonus: typically 10-20%
