Industrial Superintendent

My client is a reputable construction firm specializing in large-scale industrial projects across Detroit. With a commitment to excellence and safety, they deliver innovative solutions that meet and exceed client expectations. They are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Industrial Superintendent to lead our construction teams and ensure the successful execution of complex industrial projects.

Client Details

As the Senior Industrial Superintendent, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of industrial construction projects. You will be responsible for managing multiple construction sites simultaneously, ensuring that projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. You will collaborate closely with project managers, subcontractors, and clients to achieve project goals while upholding the highest standards of quality and safety.

Description

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage construction activities at various industrial project sites, including scheduling, resource allocation, and subcontractor coordination.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations, conduct regular safety inspections, and promoting a culture of safety among all project team members.
  • Monitor project progress and performance metrics, providing regular updates to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Oversee the procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring timely delivery and cost-effective solutions.
  • Resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during construction, proactively identifying and implementing solutions to keep projects on track.
  • Mentor and coach junior superintendents and field personnel, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
  • Review and approve project budgets, change orders, and subcontractor invoices, ensuring financial accountability and project profitability.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of construction activities, including daily reports, progress photos, and as-built drawings.

Profile

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent or Senior Superintendent with a focus on industrial projects.
  • Extensive knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations specific to industrial settings.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve project goals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with exceptional problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred).
