Traveling Superintendent : Industrial Construction

The superintendent shall spend most of his time on his project(s) every day to coordinate work, increase productivity, and check quality and accuracy of work, solve problems, plan activities and materials, and insure safety and cleanliness.

Description

Responsibilities Include:

• Coordinates and supervises all construction activities.
• Maintains construction schedule; identifies and solves problems.
• Work with Project Manager to manage and control the budget.
• Schedules inspections as necessary.
• Prepares schedules and sequence work.
• Understands project contract requirements, plans and specifications.
• Maintains an organized jobsite.
• Maintain accurate payroll records.
• Directs all field personnel.
• Performs regular inspections of jobsite
• Quality assurance.
• Manages all jobsite safety and safe work practices.
• Communicate effectively and maintain a positive working relationships with all project team members
• Supervises completion of final punch list.
• Must be committed to contributing to a culture of SAFETY!!

Profile

Minimum Requirements

• 5 Years of experience leading field teams to completion of successful projects.
• Must have a strong understanding of construction terms, scheduling and planning concepts.
• Able to communicate with the public and co-workers effectively.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Computer savvy.
• Proficient, or possesses the ability to learn, Bluebeam, Excel, Procore and Project.
• Must be self-motivated and a TEAM PLAYER.
• Concrete tilt wall experience a positive.
• Travel as needed.

Environmental/Working Conditions

• 99% field office and site environment.
• 1% office environment.
• Jobsite will involve exposure to varying noise and dust levels.

Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions which include, but are not limited to, extreme heat, humidity, rainfall, compliment of all seasons, combined with varying starting and stopping times.
