Description

Key responsibilities of a Superintendent - Public Works include:

• Ensure quality control of all contract documents and resolve any unclear or questionable details.
• Assess job site conditions and develop a logistical plan to coordinate multiple parties and activities.
• Review project arrangements as set by the Project Manager, Owner, or Architect.
• Conduct daily site walks to monitor and enforce all building and construction safety practices.
• Collaborate with Project Management in Irvine to build and maintain the project schedule from start to finish.
• Oversee creation and timely completion of the project punch list.
• Deliver a final product that meets all contract requirements and exceeds client expectations.

Profile

A successful Superintendent - Public Works candidate will have:

• Proven track record of successfully managing ground-up and renovation projects in the commercial or public works sectors.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to coordinate subcontractors, manage site logistics, and maintain project schedules.
• Excellent knowledge of building and construction safety regulations and a history of enforcing safe job site practices.
• Detail-oriented and proactive in building and construction quality control, ensuring all work aligns with contract documents and client expectations.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with project managers, owners, architects, and field teams.
