Manufacturing Engineer | Aerospace
My client is seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join their team here in Illinois, due to amazing forecasted growth! My client is a leading manufacturer of high-tech, specialty products, primarily serving Defense and Aerospace customers. They have a stellar reputation, with over 100+ years of business here in IL, but it's a new era as they have just moved into a brand new facility, as part of an enormous investment into this segment of their business
Description
- Develop, implement, and monitor industrial processes and manufacturing systems.
- Apply continuous improvement methods to enhance manufacturing quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure products meet quality standards and customer requirements.
- Identify and implement safety measures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Participate in product development, providing manufacturing feasibility insights.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for manufacturing operations.
- Optimize resource allocation, workflow, and machine capacity to increase efficiency.
- Prepare reports and documentation related to manufacturing processes and improvements.
Profile
- 3+ years' experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
- A strong understanding of industrial and manufacturing processes - ideally heat treating, grinding, or metal casting/grinding.
- Proven experience in process improvement and optimization.
- Excellent technical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience working in CAD/SolidWorks to design custom tooling/fixtures
- Proven ability to maintain Quality standards - experience with Root Cause Analysis.
- Strong team collaboration and communication skills.
- An ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures in the manufacturing sector.
Job Offer
- A salary range of $80,000 - $100,000, commensurate with experience and skills.
