Senior Superintendent - General Contractor - Milwaukee

One of Milwaukee's most respected mid-sized general contractors is actively seeking a sr. superintendent to join their firm. This contractor is known for their excellent reputation in teh multifamily and light-industrial sectors, and has been building in the area for nearly 100 years. • Self-perform carpentry, demolition, and concrete
• Build in the multifamily, commercial, and light-industrial markets
• Vast majority of work is negotiated - 2 hard-bid projects in the last decade
• Group of 6 owners that are involved daily in the business (started as PMs)

Description

• Oversee daily onsite construction activities to ensure work progresses according to schedule.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel to maintain efficient workflow.
• Enforce safety standards, conduct toolbox talks, and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
• Review plans, specifications, and change orders to guide field execution.
• Monitor quality of workmanship and conduct daily inspections to identify deficiencies.
• Communicate project updates, issues, and needs to project managers and stakeholders.
• Track delivery of materials and equipment, resolving onsite logistics challenges.
• Maintain detailed daily reports documenting manpower, progress, delays, and site conditions.

Profile

• 5+ years of running commercial/multifamily projects as lead superintendent
• Experience with projects valued at $10M+
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to put together 3 week look-ahead schedules
• Knowledge of all relevant safety guidelines and regulations
• A passion for construction
