Reporting directly into the Senior Manager of Operations, you will be responsible for:
- Lead, direct and support shift‑based operations teams to ensure safe and reliable plant operation
- Enforce and promote strict adherence to health, safety and environmental standards for employees and contractors
- Plan and execute daily and weekly production schedules to meet output, quality and cost targets
- Monitor operational performance and KPIs, identifying and resolving process or equipment issues
- Coordinate maintenance activities, follow up on corrective actions and ensure accurate system documentation
- Ensure sufficient staffing and resources are in place to support uninterrupted operations
- Develop team capability through coaching, cross‑training and performance management
- Foster a strong culture of teamwork, accountability and continuous improvement
- Ensure compliance with quality, food safety and regulatory programs (including HACCP and certification standards)
- Prepare and analyze operational reports, sharing insights with senior leadership
- Support new product introductions and change initiatives within the plant
Profile
- Education: Degree in chemical engineering or other engineering discipline
- Proven experience in a supervisory or team‑lead role within a manufacturing, processing or chemical manufacturing environment
- Strong working knowledge of production operations, maintenance coordination and safety systems
- Confident communicator with the ability to lead, coach and address performance issues constructively
- Comfortable working with operational data, reports and production planning tools (ERP experience beneficial)
- Able to read and interpret technical drawings, P&IDs and schematics
- Willingness to work flexible schedules, including on‑call responsibilities when required
- Practical, resilient and safety‑driven leadership style suited to a demanding operational environment
Rotating Weekly Schedule:
- Week 1: 6 am - 2 pm
- Week 2: 11:30 am - 7 pm
- Week 3: 1 pm - 9 pm
