Construction Project Manager - Healthcare Projects

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Construction Project Manager to oversee healthcare construction projects in the Miami area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing complex healthcare construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Description

  • Project Planning & Coordination:

    • Lead the planning, design, and execution of healthcare construction projects, ensuring alignment with client goals and industry standards.

    • Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to establish project timelines, budgets, and scope.

    • Coordinate all phases of construction from pre-construction to project closeout.

  • Team Leadership & Management:

    • Manage and supervise construction teams, including subcontractors, laborers, and field staff.

    • Foster a collaborative work environment, ensuring effective communication and problem-solving among all team members.

  • Budget & Cost Control:

    • Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring that projects are completed within financial parameters.

    • Track and report on project costs, providing accurate and timely information to senior management.

    • Identify cost-saving opportunities and mitigate financial risks.

  • Regulatory Compliance & Quality Control:

    • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including healthcare-specific codes and safety standards.

    • Oversee quality assurance and quality control measures to guarantee the highest level of craftsmanship and safety.

    • Manage inspections, permits, and other required documentation.

  • Risk Management:

    • Identify potential risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle and develop mitigation strategies.

    • Resolve conflicts and manage unforeseen challenges in a proactive manner.

  • Client Relations:

    • Serve as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs and expectations are met.

    • Maintain strong client relationships and communicate project progress regularly.

    • Address any concerns or changes requested by the client in a timely manner.

Profile

  • Education & Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.

    • 5+ years of experience in construction project management, with a focus on healthcare or medical facility construction.

    • Proven track record of successful project completions in healthcare construction.

  • Skills & Expertise:

    • Strong knowledge of healthcare facility requirements, codes, and regulations (e.g., HIPAA, NFPA, and state/local building codes).

    • Excellent project management, organizational, and leadership skills.

    • Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, or similar).

    • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.

    • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.

  • Certifications:

    • PMP (Project Management Professional) or CCM (Certified Construction Manager) preferred.

    • LEED certification or experience with sustainable building practices is a plus.

  • Other Requirements:

    • Must be able to travel to project sites throughout the Miami area.

    • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

    • Knowledge of safety protocols and risk management techniques in construction.
