Mechanical Estimator - Fully Remote Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical Estimator to join our client's expanding team. In this fully remote role, you will be responsible for producing accurate cost estimates for HVAC and plumbing projects ranging from multifamily to commercial, supporting key decision-making and project success.

Description

The Mechanical Estimator - HVAC - Fully Remote will be responsible for:

• Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and requirements to define the scope of work.
• Conduct virtual and occasional on-site visits to assess project conditions.
• Prepare detailed, accurate cost estimates including materials, labor, equipment, and overhead.
• Utilize historical data, cost databases, and industry benchmarks to enhance estimating accuracy.
• Develop comprehensive bid proposals outlining scope, costs, and qualifications.
• Collaborate with bid teams to ensure alignment with project objectives.
• Source, solicit, and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes.
• Maintain supplier relationships to secure competitive pricing.
• Identify risks impacting costs and propose mitigation strategies.
• Work closely with project managers, architects, and stakeholders to refine project details.
• Communicate clearly to ensure all teams understand and support estimates.

Profile

The Mechanical Estimator - HVAC - Fully Remote will have:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
• 3-10 years of mechanical estimating experience, preferably commercial with a strong focus on multifamily projects.
• Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong analytical, mathematical, and negotiation skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in cost estimation.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Open to less experienced professionals who demonstrate strong potential.

Job Offer

The Mechanical Estimator - HVAC - Fully Remote will receive:

• Fully remote position with potential hybrid flexibility for local candidates (1 day/week in Mooresville, NC).
• Competitive salary range: $95,000 - $125,000 base, commensurate with experience.
• Regular office hours (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM).
