Senior Accountant
The Senior Accountant will play a key role on the finance team, managing core general ledger functions and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. This position is ideal for an experienced nonprofit accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and enjoys working across departments to support fiscal integrity and compliance.

Description
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, with a strong focus on the general ledger
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and monthly close activities
- Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements
- Support budget vs. actual analysis and help maintain internal controls
- Collaborate with program and development teams on restricted funds, grants, and contracts
- Assist with annual audit preparation and reporting requirements, including Form 990
- Maintain compliance with GAAP and nonprofit accounting standards
- Identify process improvements and support system enhancements as needed
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Accounting experience in a large nonprofit organization
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and month-end close processes
- Familiarity with fund accounting and government grant compliance
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., MIP, NetSuite, Blackbaud, or similar)
- Strong Excel and analytical skills
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and communication abilities
- Able to work independently in a hybrid work environment
