CNC Programming Engineer - Industrial - Springfield, MA
The CNC Programming Engineer will be responsible for creating, optimizing, and troubleshooting CNC programs to ensure efficient manufacturing processes. This role requires technical expertise in CNC programming and a commitment to high-quality production standards.

Description
Reporting directly into the Director of Engineering, you will be responsible for the following:
- Develop and optimize CNC programs to meet production and quality standards.
- Collaborate with design and production teams to ensure manufacturability of components.
- Create CNC programs in CAM software and check programs using Vericut software.
- Analyze blueprints, engineering drawings, and CAD models to generate precise CNC instructions.
- Maintain and update CNC programming documentation and tooling requirements.
- Conduct troubleshooting and problem-solving for machining issues on the production floor.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality assurance standards in all programming activities.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
Profile
A successful CNC Programming Engineer should have:
- High School Degree or GED.
- Proficiency in CNC programming software.
- Experience with CNC programming for milling and lathe machines.
- Strong understanding of machining processes, tools, and materials.
- CAD/CAM experience.
- Experience interpreting engineering drawings and CAD models.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a manufacturing environment.
- Attention to detail and a focus on producing high-quality results.
