Quality Engineer - Aerospace & Defense - Merrimack, NH
The Quality Engineer will support engineering and operations by ensuring designs, processes, and vendor activities meet customer and company quality requirements. They will drive inspections, training, and continuous improvement initiatives to maintain compliance with industry standards and strengthen a culture of quality across the organization at our Merrimack, NH facility.

Description
The Quality Engineer - Aerospace & Defense, will:
- Support engineers with PMP requirements and collaborate with Engineering and Operations to ensure designs meet approved data and customer quality requirements.
- Interpret and enforce customer and company quality flow downs, including vendor compliance.
- Perform inspections using various measurement tools to verify part conformance.
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality evaluation, control systems, and protocols.
- Analyze data and provide guidance to ensure quality standards are consistently applied.
- Proactively review and improve quality systems, processes, and procedures.
- Compile training materials and conduct quality-related training for new hires and employees.
- Provide hands-on support in problem-solving and continuous improvement activities.
- Drive corrective and preventive actions to resolve quality issues.
- Maintain thorough documentation of quality activities and inspection results.
- Work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to promote a quality-focused culture across the organization.

Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (required).
- 2-5 years of experience in Mechanical or Quality Engineering.
- Experience in an aerospace / defense manufacturer preferred
- Hands-on background in testing, troubleshooting, and production support.
- Knowledge of AS9100 standards (strong plus).
- Experience supporting or interfacing with defense/aerospace customers (e.g., Lockheed Martin, BAE).
- Strong problem-solving skills with ability to work in a busy, fast-paced environment.
