Plant Controller
The Plant Controller plays a key leadership role in managing all financial aspects of the business unit. The role includes oversight of multiple entities, consolidated reporting, audit support, and strategic financial management.

Description
Partner with business leaders at all levels to deliver monthly operational reviews, financial analysis, and strategic insights.
Oversee consolidation and eliminations for multiple entities, including international subsidiaries and joint ventures.
Collaborate with site accountants and senior management to analyze results, explain variances, identify inefficiencies, and drive operational improvements.
Manage the Accounting Manager, Staff Accountant, and Accounts Payable/Receivable teams.
Direct all accounting operations for the business unit, including A/R, A/P, G/L, inventory and cost accounting, and revenue recognition.
Review monthly balance sheets, P&L statements, and performance against budget/forecast.
Prepare audit support documentation and financial analysis for key judgment areas.
Contribute to financial strategy development, risk mitigation, and forecasting opportunities.
Serve as primary contact for external auditors during quarterly and annual audits.
Ensure accurate and timely month-end close for plant sites within four business days.
Prepare consolidated financial reporting packages for corporate leadership.
Deliver bi-weekly cash forecasts and monthly budget-to-forecast updates.
Ensure accuracy of backlog and new order reporting.
Lead preparation of budget consolidation, annual budget, capital expenditures, and operating cost forecasts for senior management approval.
Provide proactive financial and operational insights to departmental leaders to support decision-making.
Continuously monitor and analyze gross margin details to maximize profitability.
Maintain compliance with SOX 404 internal controls and US GAAP.
Safeguard sensitive financial and organizational information.
Profile
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
8-10 years of progressive accounting/financial management experience, in a manufacturing environment.
CPA or MBA strongly preferred.
Skills & Competencies
Hands-on and flexible leadership style.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
In-depth knowledge of GAAP and cost accounting.
Exceptional analytical skills.
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Experience with ERP systems; Hyperion a plus.
