Description
The Mechanical Design Engineer - Electric Motors will be responsible for the following:
- Design and develop mechanical components for electric motors, including housings, shafts, bearings, and cooling systems.
- Create detailed 3D models and engineering drawings using CAD software (SolidWorks, Creo, or similar).
- Perform tolerance analysis, stress analysis, and thermal considerations for motor assemblies.
- Collaborate with electrical engineers to ensure seamless integration of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Support prototype development, testing, and validation of motor designs.
- Prepare documentation including BOMs, specifications, and design reports.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance motor performance and manufacturability.

Profile
The ideal Mechanical Design Engineer - Electric Motors will have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in mechanical design, preferably with electric motors or rotating equipment.
- Proficiency in CAD software and mechanical analysis tools.
- Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and GD&T principles.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Experience with thermal management and vibration analysis.
- Familiarity with motor standards (IEC, NEMA) and industry regulations.
- Knowledge of additive manufacturing and advanced machining techniques.
