Construction Commercial Assistant Superintendent

We are currently looking to expand our team and are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Commercial Construction Project Manager to help us manage and oversee a variety of exciting projects.

Key Responsibilities:

As an Assistant Commercial Construction Project Manager, you will:

  • Support the Project Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of commercial construction projects.

  • Assist in managing project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

  • Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure the smooth flow of construction activities.

  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including contracts, change orders, RFIs, and submittals.

  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure safety compliance.

  • Track project costs and help with invoicing, payments, and procurement.

  • Liaise with stakeholders to provide project updates and resolve any issues that arise.

  • Assist in identifying and mitigating potential risks or delays on projects.

  • Help ensure compliance with local regulations and building codes.

Profile

  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in commercial construction project management or as an assistant project manager in a construction setting.

  • Education: A degree or diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field is preferred.

  • Skills: Strong knowledge of construction processes, project management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend), and the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.

  • Attention to Detail: Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities with precision and organization.

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, contractors, and team members.

  • Problem-Solving: A proactive attitude and the ability to think critically when challenges arise.

  • Team-Oriented: A collaborative team player with a passion for delivering successful projects.
