Junior Estimator

Description

• Assist in preparing detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates for commercial construction projects.

• Review drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate bids.

• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.

• Support senior estimators in developing budgets, value engineering options, and bid strategies.

• Maintain organized estimate files and databases for future reference.

• Participate in pre-construction meetings and handoffs to project management teams.

Profile

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience working as an estimator with a commercial general contractor. They should possess a solid understanding of construction means and methods, be proficient in estimating software (such as Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, or similar), and demonstrate strong attention to detail. Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential, along with the ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
