Sr. HR Manager - Manuf. - Up to $120K - Bridgeport, CT
A mission-driven manufacturing company is seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead site-wide human resources and safety functions at their flagship facility. This role is ideal for a people-first leader who thrives in fast-paced, hands-on environments and brings a strong background in employee relations, compliance, and talent strategy within the manufacturing space.

Description
- Drive HR strategy for the manufacturing plant, aligning people programs with operational goals.
- Lead all employee relations efforts, investigations, policy enforcement, and disciplinary actions.
- Oversee all HR compliance initiatives and ensure alignment with federal, state, and local labor laws.
- Collaborate with plant leadership to support talent planning, employee engagement, and succession efforts.
- Supervise and coach on-site HR staff, including safety program management and compliance tracking.
- Guide recruitment, hiring, and onboarding processes for hourly and salaried manufacturing roles.
- Monitor compensation trends and recommend competitive pay structures and incentive programs.
- Support learning and development initiatives that promote employee growth and retention.
- Champion a culture of workplace safety, ethics, and inclusion in line with company values.
Profile
- 5+ years of progressive HR management experience within a manufacturing setting.
- Strong knowledge of labor and employment laws; experience handling sensitive employee relations.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage direct reports and collaborate cross-functionally.
- Experience supporting hourly and salaried workforces; food/beverage or consumer products a plus.
- Bachelor's degree preferred; SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification strongly desired.
- Manufacturing experience required.
- Spanish proficiency is a plus.
- High emotional intelligence, discretion, and sound judgment required.
