Assistant Director of Benefits | Hybrid in NYC

The Assistant Director of Benefits will oversee and manage the development, implementation, and administration of comprehensive benefits programs globally. This role requires a deep understanding of benefits management within the professional services industry and a strong ability to align programs with firm goals.

Description

  • Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive employee benefits programs in alignment with firm objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations concerning employee benefits.
  • Provide guidance and support to employees regarding benefit plans and offerings.
  • Monitor and analyze benefit trends to recommend improvements and updates to existing programs.
  • Lead the annual open enrollment process, including communication, education, and administration.
  • Assist in the development of policies and procedures related to benefits administration.
  • Work closely with the Human Resources team to ensure seamless integration of benefits with other HR programs.

Profile

A successful Assistant Director of Benefits should have:

  • A strong background in benefits management and experience with self-insured plans (required).
  • Bachelors degree required, Masters preferred.
  • Proficiency in Workday.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations related to employee benefits.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with employees and vendors.
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to analyze data and make informed recommendations.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
