Assistant Project Manager - Commercial Interiors
Client Details
Our client is a well‑established, large‑scale general contractor headquartered in the heart of Chicago. With a strong reputation for excellence, collaboration, and repeat clients, they specialize in Commercial Interiors, Workplace & Office Renovations, Retail, and Storefront construction throughout Chicagoland.Description
- Assist Project Managers with day‑to‑day project execution from preconstruction through closeout
- Support budgeting, cost tracking, and change order management
- Review drawings, specifications, RFIs, and submittals
- Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams
- Attend project meetings and assist with meeting minutes and follow‑ups
- Track schedules and help ensure milestones are met
- Assist with permit processing, inspections, and closeout documentation
- Maintain accurate project records and reporting
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field
- 1-4 years of experience in commercial construction (interiors preferred)
- Exposure to office, workplace, retail, or storefront projects is a plus
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills
- Proficiency with construction software (Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, or similar)
