HR Director - Retail - Bilingual - On-Site

The HR Director will lead all HR functions across corporate, retail, and warehouse teams. This is a highly visible and strategic position reporting into the President of the company and leading a large HR team. This is an exciting opportunity to influence and support employees across multiple functions and locations. The HR Director will oversee and support recruiting, employee relations, training & development, benefits, and more. This role is full-time on-site with local travel.



Client Details

Our client is a well-known food retailer with multiple storefronts across NY. They are family-run business that has been around for a very long time.

The HR Director should have at least ten years of HR experience working in retail or similar industries such as food, hospitality, or manufacturing. A candidate who is bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.

Candidates should have leadership/people management experience. Experience in a family-owned business is a plus. This role reports into the President of the company, so candidates should have experience partnering closely with senior leadership.

The role is full-time on-site in Manhattan, with travel to local stores and warehouses expected. Must have reliable access to a personal vehicle and a clean driving record.

Description

  • Oversee full-cycle recruitment and onboarding for corporate, retail, and warehouse positions.
  • Manage employee relations.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and safety regulations.
  • Develop and implement training programs.
  • Lead performance management processes.
  • Handle workforce planning and succession strategies.

Profile

  • 10+ years of experience in HR, preferably in retail and/or manufacturing
  • Experience leading a team
  • Experience working with senior leadership/stakeholders
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred
  • The ability to go on-site full-time and travel locally

Job Offer

  • Base salary of $160k-$195k depending on candidate's experience
