HR Generalist | Legal | Boston
The HR Generalist will be based in the firm's Boston office and will oversee all areas of HR including recruiting, employee relations, performance management, training and development, HR policies and procedures, and compliance. The firm is operating on a four days in-office, one from home schedule.

Description
- Oversee Boston office HR matters including performance management, employee relations, and disciplinary actions.
- Utilizes performance management to set expectations, monitor, coach, and address unsatisfactory performance.
- Manages full-cycle recruitment process for professional staff.
- Conducts employee terminations, exit interviews, and handles unemployment processes.
- Reviews and approves time entries and expense reports.
- Collaborates on training programs and identifies needs for professional staff.
- Manages leave programs (disability, FMLA, LOA) and interacts with Benefits and Payroll departments.
- Handles accommodation processes according to ADA standards.
- Manages employee status changes, transfers, and promotions.
- Develops HR programs to shape organizational culture and engage employees.
- Assists in developing Firm policies, procedures, and operations.
- Maintains knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree (required)
- Minimum six years HR experience in a professional services environment (required)
- Ability to work well independently as well as within a team
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Close attention to detail
- Ability to work well in a structured and fast-paced environment
- Ability to be onsite in Boston office four days a week (remote one day a week)
