HR Generalist- Real Estate- Houston, TX (onsite)- Up to $120K
Our client, a leading real estate organization in Houston, TX, is seeking a full-time, onsite HR Generalist to oversee diverse human resources functions and guide a small team managing recruitment, payroll, and benefits. This role blends daily operational management with opportunities to drive compliance, optimize processes, and foster a positive workplace culture-ideal for a detail-driven professional aiming to grow into an HR leadership role.

Description
- Manage the administration of payroll and benefits, working closely with team members to ensure all processes are accurate, compliant, and completed on schedule.
- Approve and process changes related to employee compensation, including promotions, merit increases, and adjustments.
- Serve as a trusted resource for employee relations, guiding leaders through workplace concerns, conducting investigations, and resolving complex issues with discretion.
- Ensure adherence to all applicable labor laws, internal policies, and documentation requirements.
- Partner with department leaders to fulfill hiring needs, assisting with candidate evaluation, offer coordination, and new hire onboarding.
- Drive performance management processes by facilitating reviews, implementing corrective actions, and monitoring improvement plans.
- Regularly review and enhance HR policies and procedures to reflect organizational goals and maintain compliance.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee information in the HRIS, conducting periodic audits to ensure data integrity.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to execute HR initiatives and contribute to company-wide projects.
- Take on special projects and ad hoc assignments in support of business priorities.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field (required).
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive HR experience, including payroll, benefits, and employee relations exposure.
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience in an HR capacity strongly preferred.
- Experience within real estate industry strongly preferred.
- Solid understanding of employment law, HR processes, and compensation practices.
- Proficiency in HRIS platforms.
- Excellent interpersonal, conflict resolution, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work onsite in a fast-paced environment, 5 days per week.
