HR Business Partner
The HR Business Partner will play a key role in aligning HR practices and initiatives with business goals and will be a trusted advisor to management and employees alike. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a strong background in HR, preferably in the financial services industry, who thrives in a fast-paced and ever-evolving environment.

Our client is a leading financial services firm headquartered in Midtown, Manhattan.
Description
Responsibilities of HR Business Partner include:
- Partner with senior leaders and business units to provide HR expertise and solutions that support business strategies and organizational goals.
- Advise and coach leadership on talent management, performance management, succession planning, and organizational development.
- Act as a strategic consultant on workforce planning, helping to identify and address talent gaps and drive initiatives to support business growth.
- Lead the recruitment and retention strategy by collaborating with hiring managers to ensure the attraction of top talent for critical roles.
- Oversee employee relations, ensuring a positive, inclusive, and productive work environment while addressing any issues promptly and professionally.
- Manage employee benefits and compensation programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and salary adjustments. This includes overseeing annual benefits renewal negotiations, identifying and sourcing alternative competitive plans, and ensuring the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date plan documentation. Also responsible for reviewing and processing monthly invoices related to benefits and any ad hoc expenses.
- Oversee payroll operations, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of employee compensation in compliance with relevant policies and legal requirements.
- Supervise and mentor the HR Coordinator, providing guidance on daily HR operations, ensuring effective execution of HR processes, and supporting their professional development.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and development by implementing training programs and initiatives that build employee capabilities.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with all HR-related policies, procedures, and legal requirements, especially those specific to the financial services industry.
- Analyze HR data to provide insights and make data-driven decisions to improve organizational performance and employee satisfaction.
- Support change management initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions during organizational restructuring or other significant changes.
- Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, balancing the needs of the business with the needs of employees.
- Develop and implement diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) strategies to promote a diverse and inclusive workforce.
Profile
Qualifications of the HR Business Partner include:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. A Master's degree or HR certifications (e.g., SHRM-SCP, PHR) are a plus.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in HR, with at least 3 years in an HR Business Partner role, ideally within the financial services or related industries.
- Strong understanding of HR practices, labor laws, and regulations, especially those specific to the financial services sector.
- Proven ability to collaborate with senior leadership and influence decision-making.
- Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to align HR initiatives with organizational goals.
- Experience with HRIS systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of financial services industry regulations and compliance requirements.
- Experience in managing compensation, benefits, payroll, and employee performance programs.
- Expertise in talent management, employee engagement, and leadership development.
- Strong project management skills with a demonstrated ability to drive initiatives from concept to implementation.
Job Offer
- Base salary range $150,000 - $200,000
- Eligible for discretionary annual performance bonus
