Estimator - Central MA- Public Projects $250M+

We are seeking a skilled Estimator to join a team in Boston, specializing in public projects exceeding $250M. This role requires expertise in cost estimation, budgeting, and project planning within the construction sector.

Description

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for public projects over $250M.
  • Analyze project specifications, drawings, and proposals to determine requirements.
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure accurate cost forecasting.
  • Negotiate with vendors and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing.
  • Utilize estimating software and tools to streamline processes.
  • Track and manage project costs to ensure alignment with budget goals.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to stakeholders regarding project estimates.
  • Maintain accurate records of all estimates and project documentation.

Profile

A successful Estimator should have:

  • Proficiency in construction cost estimation and budgeting processes.
  • Knowledge of public projects and related regulations.
  • Experience using estimating software and tools effectively.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with diverse teams.
  • A detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
  • A degree or certification in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
