Senior Project Manager- K-12 Construction Projects

A leading general contractor in South Florida is seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager to lead K-12, commercial, and healthcare construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. Description

  • Manage all phases of construction projects from inception to completion.

  • Oversee project budgets, schedules, subcontractor coordination, and quality control.

  • Lead project teams including assistant project managers, superintendents, and field staff.

  • Communicate regularly with clients, design professionals, and internal leadership.

  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulatory compliance.

  • Handle RFIs, submittals, change orders, and procurement processes.

  • Provide leadership on multiple active projects simultaneously when required.

Profile

  • 7+ years of experience in construction project management, preferably with a GC.

  • Proven experience managing K-12 education construction projects is essential.

  • Familiarity with commercial and/or healthcare construction is highly desirable.

  • Strong understanding of Florida building codes, permitting, and school district processes.

  • Effective leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Proficient with project management software (e.g., Procore, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam).

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
