HR Generalist

This organization is seeking a HR Generalist to manage all HR operations for our employee population. This stand-alone role is essential to maintaining their vibrant workplace.This person will oversee payroll processing, benefits administration, employee relations, performance management, and employee engagement. Additionally, this role will lead our learning and development initiatives to support the ongoing growth and development of our staff.

Description

  • Payroll Processing: Manage and oversee the accurate and timely processing of payroll. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.

  • Benefits Administration: Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee perks. Serve as the point of contact for benefits-related inquiries and issues.

  • Employee Relations: Act as the primary contact for employee relations matters. Address and resolve workplace issues and conflicts in a fair and confidential manner.

  • Performance Management: Implement and manage performance review processes. Support managers and employees in setting performance goals, providing feedback, and addressing performance-related concerns.

  • Employee Engagement: Develop and execute strategies to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction. Plan and coordinate events, activities, and initiatives that foster a positive work environment.

  • Learning and Development: Identify training needs and spearhead learning and development programs. Facilitate workshops, seminars, and other professional development opportunities to support staff growth and career advancement.

  • Compliance and Record-Keeping: Ensure compliance with all HR-related laws and regulations. Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR documentation.

  • HR Strategy and Support: Collaborate with theatre leadership to align HR practices with organizational goals. Provide strategic HR advice and support to ensure effective workforce management.

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of HR experience, with a strong background in all HR functions including payroll, benefits, and employee relations.
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex HR issues.
  • Experience in a stand-alone HR role is preferred, especially in a creative or performing arts environment.
  • Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Job Offer
