Legal Administrative Assistant (Labor and Employment)
This firm is seeking a detail-oriented Legal Administrative Assistant specializing in Labor and Employment to provide exceptional administrative support to a top Partner within the firm. This person will be very hands on with technology support, calendaring, travel arrangements, and billing/timekeeping.
Client Details
This firm is a a prominent New York City-based firm, specializing in corporate, securities, and business-related matters. The firm has about 150 attorneys across 3 different offices.
Description
- Provide administrative support to attorneys specializing in labor and employment law, focused specifically on a rainmaker for the firm.
- Prepare, edit, and format legal documents, correspondence, and reports with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Manage attorney calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate court appearances.
- Handle client communications, including managing inquiries and correspondence.
- Maintain and organize confidential files and legal records.
- Assist with document filings, including e-filing with courts and administrative agencies.
- Track deadlines and ensure timely submission of required filings and documentation.
- Support other administrative tasks as needed to ensure smooth office operations.
- Stenography experience is a plus
Profile
A successful Legal Administrative Assistant should have:
- A strong background in providing administrative support to a Partner, preferably in labor and employment law.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and legal document management systems.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional demeanor.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
