Production Coordinator | CNC Machining | Oak Brook, IL
The Production Coordinator will oversee all aspects of production scheduling for our client's impressive machine shop based near Oak Brook! The Production Coordinator will work in the company ERP system to ensure work orders run seamlessly through the shop and ensure labor is allocated correctly. The Production Coordinator reports directly to the President and will be crucial in the ongoing success and growth of the company, apply today!

Our client is an extremely well-established manufacturer of precision machined metal components, working in a variety of industries. They have been around for 90+ years and have a very strong average tenure for leaders, due to their close company culture & emphasis on professional development & openness to new ideas. They seek an experienced Engineering Manager with a machining background to lead a high-performing team.
Description
- Coordinates workflow between departments to ensure efficient production
- Reviews production schedules and work orders, sets priorities, and adjusts timelines based on resource availability and job specs
- Reschedules similar tasks to minimize machine setup time
- Issues work orders with quantity, type, and target completion dates
- Works with supervisors to track progress and communicate process changes from engineering
- Prepares reports on production status and equipment downtime for planning teams
- Manages inventory of materials and parts needed for production
- May expedite materials and use systems to track production units
Profile
- Prior experience managing production scheduling for manufacturing
- Experience in a contract manufacturing environment highly preferred
- Experience working within ERP systems to process work orders and manage documentation - knowledge of Global Shop HIGHLY preferred
- Knowledge of labor balancing/labor allocation
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
Job Offer
- Base salary $100,000 - $135,000 depending on level of experience
- Annual bonus incentive based on company goals - 10+ year track record paying out at 5-6%
