Interim HR Manager

My client is seeking Interim HR Manager to provide human resources functional expertise and leadership to the plant site and provide guidance to Operations Leadership. This is a key position within the operations function responsible for managing and delivering people strategies and tactics to develop talent and increase employee engagement to drive achievement of business results.

My client supplies compressors. According to the enterprise, it is the world leader in this field, with its products being used around the world in various industrial applications.

Description

Job Duties & Accountabilities:

  • Ensuring and securing day-to-day

    • Responding to general HR queries, providing accurate information and quality advice to managers and staff in accordance with company policies, procedures, and employment law.
    • Responsible for all aspects of HR including but not limited to maintenance of personnel files, document production, right to work checks, Visa documentation, reference checks, probationary reviews, holiday requests, Employee Relations such as grievances, disciplinaries, reviews, performance management, exit interviews etc.
    • Managing the recruitment and selection process
    • Benefits management (pension, and healthcare).
    • Completion of monthly payroll data (details of time, allowances, etc.), data review, liaise with external payroll provider and process the payroll.
    • Ensure that all HR records (incl. HRIS) are maintained and kept up to date, by inputting, amending, and removing data and information in accordance with the DPA and GDPR.
    • Support of global HR initiatives including local roll-out, share best practices and contribute to improvements.
    • Support and promote a culture of safety, diversity, inclusion, and customer excellence and nurture a positive working environment.
    • Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics.
    • Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management.
    • Lead a team of 2 HR specialists (total currently 4 incl. 1 trainer and 1 admin)

    Special assignment

    • Review current processes and policies, looking for improvements, compliance etc.
    • Initiate the take over of the payroll from the 2nd legal entity (currently done by the local Finance/admin team)
    • Evaluate the current HR set-up.

Profile

Required Competencies:

  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in HR Business Partner role
  • Experience managing a team
  • Supported in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to build and maintain credibility with senior leaders, hiring managers and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to operate in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to tailor communications
  • Adept at influencing, conflict resolution and coaching at all levels of the organization
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office 365, ATS and HRIS Systems

Skills

  • Proven working experience as HR Manager
  • People oriented and results driven.
  • Knowledge of HR systems and databases including payroll
  • Experience in change management
  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
  • In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices
  • Trustworthy personality, able to present and to earn credibility at all levels.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written with the ability to adapt style according to the audience.
  • Strong team player, collaborative, positive, can-do-attitude
  • High attention to detail and accuracy and the ability to handle and maintain confidential information with a high degree of professionalism.
