Junior Estimator- Commercial Construction

Description

• Assist in preparing detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates across multiple project types.

• Review drawings, specifications, and subcontractor proposals to support bid development.

• Help manage bid logs, subcontractor outreach, and the coordination of competitive proposals.

• Support the preconstruction team with value engineering, budget updates, and scope assessments.

• Maintain organized estimate documentation and ensure timely delivery of bid packages.

• Collaborate with Project Managers, Senior Estimators, and Precon leadership to refine budgets and project scopes.

Profile

• 2+ years of experience working in the preconstruction department of a general contractor.

• Proficient with estimating software, on-screen takeoff tools, and Microsoft Excel.

• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to read and interpret construction drawings.

• Organized, proactive, and able to work in a fast-paced environment with competing deadlines.

• A team player who is eager to learn, grow, and take on additional responsibility over time.
