The Director of Preconstruction will oversee and lead the preconstruction process, including budgeting, estimating, and coordination, to ensure successful project delivery. This leadership role is ideal for someone with experience in construction and a strong understanding of business services.

Description
- Manage the preconstruction phase of construction projects, ensuring accurate budgets and estimates.
- Collaborate with clients, architects, and engineers to align project goals and expectations.
- Develop and maintain preconstruction schedules and timelines.
- Lead value engineering efforts to optimize project costs and resources.
- Oversee bid solicitation and subcontractor selection processes.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to the preconstruction team.
- Ensure all preconstruction activities comply with company policies and industry standards.
- Support the transition from preconstruction to construction phase to ensure seamless project execution.

Profile
A successful Director of Preconstruction should have:
- Educational background in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
- Proven expertise in preconstruction processes, including budgeting and estimating.
- Proven ability to lead complex, multi-million dollar preconstruction efforts across various sectors (e.g., healthcare, education, mixed-use, industrial).
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with diverse stakeholders.
- Knowledge of construction software and tools to streamline processes.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality work within deadlines.
