Junior Estimator
We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Estimator to join our preconstruction team and support cost analysis for high-end residential projects. Reporting to the Director of Preconstruction and Estimating, you will play a key role in preparing accurate estimates and managing bid processes for technically complex and luxury builds.

Company is a premier high-end custom residential builder specializing in luxury projects across the New York Metro area. Their portfolio includes challenging pre-war co-op and townhouse renovations in Manhattan, multi-structured ground-up estates, and historical preservation projects that demand precision and craftsmanship.
Description
- Documentation: Manage bid documents and drawings for assigned projects.
- Quantity Takeoffs: Review drawings and perform quantity takeoffs using industry-standard software.
- Relationship Management: Maintain subcontractor directories and reference databases.
- Submittals: Prepare and submit RFIs to design teams.
- Team Leadership: Communicate effectively with design teams, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders through meetings, correspondence, and calls.
- Project Management: Assist with change order pricing, subcontractor selection, and special projects as needed.
Profile
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience: 2-3 years of estimating experience preferred; hands-on construction experience is a plus.

Skills:
- Strong project management and organizational abilities.
- Proficient in reading construction drawings and blueprints.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (including formulas).
- Familiarity with takeoff software (On-Screen Takeoff, Planswift, Bluebeam).
- Solid understanding of construction processes, trade scopes, and sequencing.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
