With a deep scientific heritage and a mission rooted in improving reproductive outcomes, they play a critical role in helping fertility clinics and IVF laboratories operate with precision, confidence, and consistency. Today, they support fertility clinics and IVF labs across over 100 countries.
They are looking for an HR Manager to join their team in Irvine, CA. This is a hands-on position in a highly visible, standalone role. This position is ideal for an experienced HR professional who thrives in an environment where ownership, judgment, and day‑to‑day execution matter. You'll be the primary HR partner on site, working closely with the Director of HR (Americas), site leadership, and cross‑functional teams to ensure strong HR operations, compliance, and employee experience.
In this role, you will fully own employee benefits administration for California employees, serving as the first point of contact for questions related to leaves of absence, FSA accounts, and coverage details. You will lead annual open enrollment end‑to‑end, manage relationships with benefits brokers (including monthly meetings), and support plan changes while clearly communicating new coverage and regulations to employees.You'll serve as a trusted resource for employee relations, leading conflict resolution efforts, conducting investigations, and coaching managers on performance management, communication, and development. The role also partners closely with hiring managers to support recruiting efforts, interview coordination, workforce planning, and HRIS administration, while ensuring smooth onboarding and offboarding experiences. Beyond day‑to‑day administration, you'll contribute to employee engagement, retention initiatives, and organizational development efforts.

Description
- Serve as the standalone HR Manager for the California site, providing day‑to‑day HR leadership and partnering closely with the Director of HR and site leadership
- Own all employee benefits administration, acting as the primary point of contact for employee questions related to leaves of absence, FSA accounts, and benefit coverage
- Lead annual open enrollment end‑to‑end, including plan changes, employee communications, and coordination with benefits brokers; participate in regular broker meetings
- Ensure full compliance with California employment law, OSHA requirements, and applicable federal regulations; support site safety programs and training initiatives
- Lead and support employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, investigations, performance issues, and policy guidance
- Support employee engagement initiatives to foster collaboration and retention.
- Maintain accurate HR records and generate reports as needed.

Profile
A successful HR Manager should have:
- A strong background in human resources, preferably in manufacturing.
- Has prior experience serving in a standalone or highly independent HR role, with full ownership of on-site HR operations.
- Expertise in employment laws, compliance, and HR policies.
- Has deep working knowledge of California employment law, including leave administration, employee relations, wage and hour compliance, and workplace safety requirements
- Has hands‑on experience owning benefits administration, including leading open enrollment, managing plan changes, partnering with brokers, and clearly explaining coverage and policies to employees
